  • Review of an 18-sheet electrical wiring and schematic package (Rev. 6)

  • Resolution of three open reviewer comments

  • Markup and redline guidance

  • Written summary of findings

Summary

A manufacturer of prefabricated substation control enclosures asked MHL to close out the last three review comments on its Rev. 6 electrical package before resubmittal to the project reviewer. MHL reviewed the AC and DC power, alarm, lighting, ventilation and device wiring sheets and returned markups.

Problem / Objective

Three comments remained open on a tight schedule: separating the exterior lighting circuit from a shared breaker, integrating an HVAC lead-lag controller, and correcting the rating of the HVAC high/low temperature alarm thermostat.

Process

  1. Reviewed the full Rev. 6 package (Sheets 1 to 18) against the earlier Rev. 5 markups and the comment email.

  2. Sent specification questions on the controller and exterior lighting switching.

  3. Analyzed the three open comments across the affected sheets.

  4. Returned redlines and a short written summary with drafting feedback.

  5. Held a final comments call and confirmed all three comments closed.

Payoff / Results (Metrics)

  • All three open comments confirmed closed

  • Completed within the client’s tight timeline

  • Led to follow-on as-built documentation work on the same enclosure
