NEC Evaluation & Report 
Our client, a manufacturer of an ETL listed busway system, faced a critical situation where an inspector claimed their product was not in compliance with the NEC’s over current protection requirements. They approached us for a rapid resolution and required the expertise of a seasoned NEC consultant.

Our NEC consultant was tasked to quickly comprehend the system and respond in detail to the inspector's claims. The consultant evaluated the client's product and provided a comprehensive analysis of its compliance with the NEC's over current protection standards.

Our consultant successfully demonstrated that the client's product met the NEC’s over current protection requirements, and the inspector withdrew his non-compliance claims. The client was relieved and grateful for our timely and efficient resolution of the matter.

Solar Design Evaluation & Report 
MHL Consulting PLLC recently assisted a client who was dissatisfied with the performance of their solar system. The client had received a quote from a solar developer, but upon installation, they noticed that the system was not producing the amount of power promised.

To address this issue, our team performed a thorough evaluation of the PV solar design using best industry practices. We prepared a report detailing our findings, which the client could use in the event of litigation.

Our expertise in solar energy and electrical engineering allowed us to identify any discrepancies or issues with the original design and provide the client with a clear understanding of the situation. Micro-grid Design 
MHL Consulting PLLC recently worked on a project for a client who wanted to ensure reliable power during natural disasters such as earthquakes and forest fires. To meet this need, we designed a micro-grid system that included a solar PV system, batteries, a generator, and a Solark inverter to control the micro-grid. The client provided us with a conceptual design, which we reviewed and used to create design deliverables for permitting and construction.

Our team's expertise in electrical engineering enabled us to deliver a solution that met the client's specific requirements and ensured that power would not be lost during natural disasters. We are proud to have contributed to the safety and reliability of the client's power system.


Electrical Service Replacement 
​MHL Consulting PLLC recently completed a project for a commercial building in which we designed a new electrical system to replace an outdated switchboard. The old switchboard was no longer being manufactured, and finding spare parts had become increasingly difficult. In addition to designing a new system, the client also wanted to add a generator and an automatic transfer switch (ATS) for backup power.

To meet the client's requirements, our team created a range of design deliverables, including single lines, three lines, wiring diagrams, elevation construction and demolition drawings, and a cable schedule. Our expertise in electrical engineering enabled us to deliver a reliable and efficient solution that met all necessary codes and regulations.
We are proud to have successfully completed this project for our client and to have contributed to the upgrade of their commercial building's electrical system.


Commercial PV System Design

EV Charger System Design
MHL Consulting recently completed the design of a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) charger for a commercial parking lot. The client, a property management company, wanted to provide convenient and reliable EV charging options for their tenants and visitors.

Our team of experienced engineers and designers conducted a site assessment and feasibility study to understand the client's unique needs and design a customized EV charger solution that met those needs. We designed and engineered the EV charger, including electrical and communication wiring, to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
